BOSTON SOLIDARITY: Run For Redemption

BOSTON SOLIDARITY: Run For Redemption

The marathon bombings in Boston not only shocked a city, but shocked a nation. Several groups have done their part to show their solidarity with organized runs but one Marshalltown man has gone further.

Manny Garcia is running 3 marathon-length runs in memory of the three victims of that tragic day. With two runs down, the last 26.2 mile stretch will be done Saturday.

“The bombing at the Boston Marathon was a tragic event that has and will continue to affect many people. This is my response. May we rise up and share love and compassion with those who are hurting,” Garcia said on his fundraising page.

So far the 31 year old has raised over $600 but hopes to raise much more. Money will go to aid the victims of the explosion.
