BANK ERROR: Couple Charged With Theft | News
A Marshalltown couple is facing charges after allegedly capitalizing on a bank error.
The Times Republican online reports that a bank mistakenly deposited $13,000 into the bank account of Michael and Kelly Anthony.
Marshalltown Police say the couple quickly withdrew the money and spent it before the bank could retrieve it.
The two are now charged with second degree theft.
